Welcome to BLNTZ. By accessing our website and purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, which are governed by Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. Custom & Modified Branded Products
BLNTZ frequently crafts, modifies, and sells custom accessories designed to fit or enhance third-party products (such as custom cases for Zippo® lighters).
- No Affiliation: BLNTZ is an independent brand and is in no way affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Zippo Manufacturing Company, BIC, or any other original equipment manufacturers unless explicitly stated.
- First Sale Doctrine: Any original branded items (e.g., authentic lighters) sold alongside or within our custom modifications are sold under the doctrine of exhaustion of trademark rights (First Sale Doctrine) in Australia. We purchase genuine products legally and resell them or modify them as value-added art/accessories.
- Warranties on Modified Products: Please note that modifying a third-party product (like a lighter) with our custom cases or engravings may void the original manufacturer’s warranty. BLNTZ provides a warranty on the quality of our custom parts and craftsmanship, but we do not assume liability for the functionality of the original third-party mechanisms once modified.
3. Age Verification & Restricted Products
Certain items on our store, including lighters and smoking accessories (The Good Herb Shop), are strictly for customers aged 18 and older. By purchasing these items, you legally declare that you are of legal age in your state or territory. BLNTZ reserves the right to cancel any order if we suspect it violates age restriction laws.
4. Returns and Exchanges
We stand by the quality of our EDC gear. If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order for a replacement or refund in accordance with the ACL. Due to the custom nature of some of our modified pieces, change-of-mind returns are handled on a case-by-case basis and may incur a restocking fee.
5. Liability
BLNTZ is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from the use or misuse of our products, including fire-starters, tools, and heavy-duty gear. Always use EDC equipment responsibly and safely.
